My son took up golf about 7 years ago in middle school and now plays for his college. I made the mistake of buying him an expensive Callaway rangefinder early on, which he promptly lost on the course about 2 weeks later. We followed that one up with a much less expensive non-name brand rangefinder which worked just as well and inflicted less pain when he lost that one. I've come to believe that there is no increase in quality when you pay a lot of the brand name, so when I needed a rangefinder for me I got this one. It's great. The build quality is excellent, and it looks sharp too - as does the very attractive and functional storage case with built in carabiner. This one works great, providing consistent accurate distance and slope measurements. The pin-lock measurement works well too. The optics are crystal clear, and I love the built in magnet that lets you slap this onto a cart: the magnet is plenty strong and holds fast. Overall I have zero complaints with this very reasonably priced rangefinder that works just as well as and has all the same features as much more expensive options. Recommended.
