I have played golf for the last fifty four years. Before I had a hip replaced and radical head and neck cancer surgery I routinely played at least five times a week from April through October and two or three or days in the interleaving months. It is down to three times a week now. When I was young my handicap was as low as three. I slipped to a seven. Now with the trachea and the titanium hip I can play to an eleven. I provide this information so you know that I have had more than the average experience with the holy sport.Up until four years ago when the new Foot Joys came out I routinely went through two pairs of spikes a year. I always had to wear the new pair for five or six holes then put the old ones on. It would take a dozen rounds before I could wear the new shoes for all eighteen holes.I was a little apprehensive of purchasing the Echo's. I was totally wrong. I never spent more on a pair of spikes (close with a pair of all leather Foot Joy Classics ten years ago) than the BIOM and I have never made a better purchase. The minute I put the fit was PERFECT for my over wide and hard to fit hoof. Walking on air maybe a cliché, but it applies to these shoes. Wore them for 18 holes with no blisters, no pain and didn't want to take them off. Without question the best golf spikes I have ever owned. The Street Premiere Golf Shoe is almost as good as the BIOM. Actually in some ways I like it more because I can wear it to work or to the course and not have to change shoes before or after the round. My fear was they would not work as golf spikes, how wrong I was. As with the BIOM they went on and did not have to come off in the first round or any other round after that.My fear of the Street Premiere functioning on the links was undeserved. With my hip replacement, I have a fear of falling. These shoes are actually BETTER than anything I have ever worn on slopes and wet grass. The sole design is unbelievable, and your heel feels like it below your toes. Sometimes there is an issue when you walk through mud because it clogs the cleat pattern, but the traction in a trap is perfect. I have had them for the summer and my concern was the tread might wear. I can barely notice the wear; I think they will make two seasons no sweat. The brushed leather is difficult to keep clean and the soles quickly got stained green, but those are minimal compared to the comfort and performance of these shoes.I should have known if they were good enough for professional golfer Freddie Couples they would be good enough for me. They are. I liked them so much I purchased a second pair, currently only for street use. When the first pair loses their tread, I already have the replacement pair ready to rock.Without reservation I would heartily recommend both of these golf shoes.Depending upon the manufacturer I typically wear a 12.5 or a 13 in golf shoes. I have a very narrow heel and a high arch, but I also have a wide foot up towards the ball of my foot and my toe area. So as you can imagine it’s really hard to find comfortable shoes that fit all of those crazy dimensions on my feet. After trying numerous other options from different manufacturers I finally decided to give Ecco a try since all of my buddies at my golf club are in love with them. I followed the sizing guidelines provided by Amazon and went with the American equivalent of a 12–12.5. I couldn’t be happier! They are so comfortable, have just a little extra room with Wise up near the toebox to keep my toes from squishing together. There is enough arch support in my heel doesn’t slip. I wore these twice on the golf course since I receive them and every time I put them on they feel better and better. I just ordered another pair to add to my collection. Highly recommendI play 4 to 5 rounds per week and carry a 9 hdcp. I've owned and worn FJ's, Adidas, Nike, and ECCO. I walk the courses I play some that have steep hills and valleys and some of which are very flat. I've played 4 rounds at different courses wearing these shoes right out of the box. The shoes are very comfortable, stable and provide good arch support. This shoe can be worn from garage to tee and from green to garage with no problem . I was concerned about grip and stability and neither have been an issue in dry or wet course conditions. The fit is nice and snug when the shoe is laced and tied properly. The price was right. This shoe was selling for $30 more in the shop where I normally make my shoe purchases. This is my 2nd pair of ECCO golf shoes, but the first in this style. The red laces are a bit much but ECCO places black laces in the box so you can just change them out if you wish. All said, I'm hooked and plan to stick with this brand. The one and only shortfall, in my case, is that as a walker I would like to have more heel cushion to lessen heel impact from cart paths and concrete. Overall a great shoe at a good price. One final point. I would suggest you go to a local store like Golf Galaxy or the Walking Store and try on these shoes for proper sizing before ordering on line. They run a little big and the proper size and fit makes all the difference in comfort. I am a long time Ecco golf shoe wearer, in large part because past shoes have ‘just fit’. No break-in time is normally needed, no discomfort.. so I stick with Ecco. These shoes do not fit that description. Most of the shoes are fine, but the back of the shoe rises up higher than others, and what is really bad is that the material seems to be angled in towards my ankle. So, it rubs on my ankle, rubbing it raw through a round of golf. That sharp pain in the ankle is not great for a golf swing.I tried them a second time, with layers of tape on my ankles to protect them. It worked for a while but the rubbing eventually moved the tape and the pain returned. I swung by my car at the ninth and switched to my old Ecco Biom, which felt great - they had zero contact with the pain points. These are stylish and comfortable shoes to be used in dry golf conditions. The "spikes" on the soles are large enough to provide grip in good conditions. Only took one round for them to be comfortable to wear. I have wide feet and had no issues. Like them quite a bit. These golf shoes are brand new; never worn by anyone. The leather is perfect; no scratches or scuff marks. A perfect purchase and a great price! I am very particular about how my sneakers or golf shoes fit around my entire foot. The size chart for ECCO is a bit odd, in that they gauge inbetween ranges (i.e.- 10-10.5, 11-11.5, etc). I typically wear a 10.5 golf shoe. These ECCO's @ 10-10.5 feel terrific surrounding my feet. There is no slippage at the heel, and yet they "feel" roomier than 10.5; go figure. If you are a strick 10.5 do not worry about this one.Thank you very muchI got these shoes early part of 2012 and they are still going strong!! They are so comfortable from the first time you wear them. I even wore them whilst play as it began to snow recently and they gave great grip as opposed to my mates who sent ages banging the cleats on their shoes to remove snow & ice!I don't know if its me, but my swing has also slowed down when playing in these shoes. This may be in part because you don't feel as anchorede to the ground as you do in traditional shoes. Might just be in my head!!Great product though. Alsobought the Yak skin version as well!!I think the shoes look really good and it's great to be able to wear the same shoes out of your house and onto the course. Can also wear them in the clubhouse. They're very comfortable, but don't think they fit as well as footjoy dryjoys, the only other golf shoes I've bought. That could just be the shape of my feet, however. They give perfectly good stability when playing any golf shot, other than perhaps fairway bunker shots. Have not worn them in wet conditions and wonder how good they'd be or how long they'd last on a damp muddy course. I think they're summer shoes really.I have suffered from foot problems for the last few years and as a keen golfer found that the traditional golf shoes gave me no relief on hard ground. These shoes are are just the job.I purchased these in preparation for a recent golfing trip to the Algarve in Portugal. We played 6 rounds of golf on successive days and I have to say that these are the most comfortable golf shoes I've ever owned. After so much walking (I prefer to walk rather than taking buggies on the long courses there) I had no discomfort whatsoever and felt that there was always sufficient grip on the fairways, rough and bunkers.EXCELLENT SHOES !!My husbands says they are the most comfy golf shoes he's ever had and he doesn't need to change to go into the Clubhouse. Shame his handicap hasn't improved.
